EMG Studies

Short for ELECTROMYOGRAPHY, an EMG is a common diagnostic test utilized to identify pain, numbness, tingling, or weakness issues.

A referral IS REQUIRED for this service.

Are your nerves causing a problem?

An EMG determines if a nerve or multiple nerves are contributing to an issue. The EMG allows our physicians to listen to your body’s natural electrical activity created by the moving of your muscles.

What to Expect

In this common procedure, our physicians use a needle to send tiny electrical impulses to a nerve to record the response. This helps our physicians identify the issue and discover the best way to solve your pain. Most patients tolerate the testing very well and with very little discomfort. The procedure typically takes 20-30 minutes.
