Botox® Therapy

Whether you or a loved one are struggling with painful muscle contractions, limited motion, cerebral palsy, or muscle-related migraine, Botox® can provide significant relief.

A referral IS REQUIRED for this service.

What is Botox®?

Botox® injections use a toxin produced by bacteria to block nerve signals that cause problematic muscle spasms.

Widely used by plastic surgeons to eliminate wrinkles around the eyes and forehead, PMC physicians use Botox® to prevent muscle contractions that twist the neck into painful positions (cervical dystonia), restore limited motion due to stroke, help with cerebral palsy, or minimize migraines.

We use extremely thin needles to deliver tiny amounts of Botox® to carefully selected areas of the body. Relief is typically noticed within days and may last for several months.

Treating chronic
   migraines

Botox® prevents on average 8-9 headache days and migraine/probable days a month. It is the number one prescribed branded treatment for chronic migraines, and 3.3 million Botox® treatments have been given to over 500,000 people living with chronic migraine (since the FDA approval in October 2010).

Botox® is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to prevent headaches in adults 18 and older who have 15+ days each month with headaches lasting four hours or more a day, and to treat certain types of eye muscle problems or abnormal spasms of the eyelids in people 12 years or older. Call us to find the treatment that’s right for you and reduce your headaches to get back to living your life to the fullest.

Fighting child and adult spasticity with Botox®

Spasticity is tightness and stiffness in your arms and legs caused by several conditions or neurologic events, including stroke, multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, and spinal cord injury.

Botox® is injected into stiff muscles to temporarily block nerve signals that cause muscle stiffness and helps reduce spasticity. Call us today to see if Botox® is the right treatment for you or your child.
